What is Paxil?

Paxil has various brand names such as Paxil CR, Paxil, and Pexeva. Its generic name is known as Paroxetine. Paxil is one of the anti-depressant medicines which belong to the SSRIs (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors). This medicine has some effects on the brain’s chemicals that might suffer from some imbalances. Physicians used Paxil as treatment for OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder), antidepressant, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), anxiety disorders and even PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) and etc.
